Making Complex Legacy Products Simple and Intuitive

I've spent 7 years in product design, and 15 years before that in 3D animation and AR.

My strength is complexity. I find the patterns in a complex job and simplify them, so people can do hard work without the mental load, and the daily work their income depends on stays supported and safe.

I start with what users really need to accomplish, the constraints we face, and the users themselves. Then I design an intuitive flow that covers every use case, review it with stakeholders to validate the direction, and move to wireframes and, most of the time, a prototype. Usability tests come next, and UI polish comes last.

Based in North Vancouver, I balance hard product problems with building creature simulations and enjoying the rain.
